The TL;DR
We collect property and resident data to power our platform. We don't sell your data. We use industry-standard encryption and isolation to keep everything secure. You own your data and can request access or deletion anytime.
Introduction
Tenvue ("we," "our," or "us") provides a property management platform designed to streamline operations for property managers and owners. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect data belonging to Staff Users (Property Managers) and End Users (Residents/Tenants).
Information We Collect
We collect information necessary to provide "Intelligence Analysis" and operational tools:
- Account Information: Name, email, and authentication data (via AWS Cognito) for Staff and Residents.
- Property Data: Addresses, unit counts, and property specifications uploaded via CSV or manual entry.
- Resident & Lease Data: Names, contact info, lease start/end dates, and rent amounts.
- Financial Data: Payment history, charges, and delinquency records used to calculate Eco Occ and Collections.
- Maintenance Data: Service requests and work order details.
How We Use Your Information
We process your data to power the core "Magic" of Tenvue:
- Operational Management: Facilitating leases, payments, and work orders.
- Intelligence Analysis: Generating insights on occupancy trends, market rent comparisons, and financial health.
- Automation: Sending automated reminders for rent or lease renewals.
Data Sharing and Transparency
To keep trust high, we follow strict data sharing rules:
- No Selling of Data: Tenvue does not sell resident or property data to third-party marketers.
- Service Providers: We share data only with essential infrastructure providers (e.g., AWS for hosting, Stripe for payments) under strict confidentiality.
- Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law.
Data Security
We implement enterprise-grade security to protect your portfolio:
- Isolation: Using PostgreSQL Row-Level Security (RLS) to ensure complete data isolation between different management companies.
- Encryption: All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+).
- Authentication: Secure login managed by AWS Cognito with optional Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
User Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, users may have the following rights:
- The right to access their personal data.
- The right to delete data (subject to legal lease-retention requirements).
- The right to opt-out of non-essential communications.
